As Anandvan foundation grows, more urban forests get created. Planting trees is easy, protecting them is difficult.
But the team at Anandvan has found a solution, a very eco friendly one! They are now planting Sagargota or fever nut plants.
These plants can be used as natural fences. It is a prickly, thorny shrub that will not allow any entry! It is not only a natural security guard but is also a medicinal plant used to treat many illnesses.
Today, 100 Sagargota saplings were planted and 100 pits were prepared for plantation by 20 volunteers of Tata Elxsi at Anandvan 4.
